Bitchin'.

This movie is fantastic. I was instantly reminded of the "Move Your Feet" video, but the fact that the "pixels" were sort of rough around the edges gave this movie a style of its own. Excellent job!

Wow.

That was amazing.

It really looks like an entry for a film or animation festival... the music was fantastic, and I wasn't expecting it to be Clock-related at all, but the way you incorporated StrawberryClock into the story (which stood quite well on its own!) was also very creative. This is a story beautifully told. Excellent job!

Not a bad movie.

The movie was shot decently and overall wasn't bad, but personally, I had a few problems with it: first of all, your opening/closing music is extremely overused, so I'd advise you to find another piece of similar mood. Second of all, the violence wasn't particularly believable... generally a father/daughter abusive relationship wouldn't necessarily be limited to slaps in the face; harder blows would probably be both more impulsive and more effective, although granted softer blows wouldn't leave marks or bruises that would resurface later in the film.

The last major problem I found with it is it isn't really that much of a Flash animation. As you're aware, it's a video compressed and imported into Flash. Thus most of the work done was in filming the movie, not animating or scripting it. YouTube would probably be a more appropriate venue for short films of this type.

TheBrickheads responds:

Thanks for your advice and thanks so far to everyone who has commented and voted. I know this is not a flash animation, But I am trying to promote to movie as much as possible. If this version is too low res for you, there is a high res version availbile on www.thebrickheads.com, and you can also find the movie on Youtube, Myspace, Ifilm, etc etc...

Keep commented everyone, keep voting (even if you dont like it, lol) and thanks for the support

It's not up to snuff now, but it's damn close.

This movie is short and the sound is not what it could be (a skidding sound effect might be nice, for example). As it is now, it's not really worthy of its own little spotlight, but with a few small improvements (a preloader, for example, despite the small file size, or perhaps a "end" frame) it would be just fine. The sprites are traced well... it's nice to not see the inconsistencies and shitty JPEGs other people use. Again, not an epic movie or anything, but not at all bad.

Nimii responds:

Thank you. This is the kind of response I actually expected to get and what my expectations of myself were. I got helpful criticism and not chewed out on an, admittedly, low mediocre submission. Thanks for the help, when it ends up on my friends site, it will be tuned to a few of your expectations.

Loved it.

I can see why the movies were blammed individually, but each one is good and/or hilarious in its own way. I voted to save it. Hope everyone else gets it.

TremcladClock responds:

Thanks man, go get yourself a beer and celebrate with me, I get to level 10 tonight.

Oh my God.

I lol'd.

Excellent.

That's all I have to say. Great job!

Well-executed!

Animation was amazingly smooth--especially, for example, when Yogi was moonwalking. My entire review's pretty much contained in my ratings in each category--your movie didn't suck, let's put it that way. :D

N2tZ responds:

:P Thank You, I haven't thought of smoothness, i thought that people would go like Omg its so unsmooth :P

Hot damn.

That was fricking amazing.

I especially liked the ArcticClock bit.

I repeat. That was fricking amazing.

Another good Clockday submission! Thank you for not making this spam!

It was an excellent movie. Really. I'd say more, but I have to go blam more carp. :D

I nearly rated this 5, but I'm not sure I've ever given ANYTHING a 5...

LAVAGASM responds:

You're welcome. Thanks for taking the time to thank me. I wish more people would pay attention to the movie, I'm not sure this deserves the score it got. :( Oh well. Thanks for the review
